Robert Ray: One number 1 single this year (I Found You). Two songs landed in the Top 200 of the year on the T3R chart, one song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the TCMC chart, one song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the CDX Traction Texas chart and two songs landed in the Top 200 of the year on the CDX Traction True Indie chart. Robert was also nominated for numerous radio awards and he advanced to the Semi-Finals in the 2021 TRRMA in the Male Vocalist and Brandon Jenkins Songwriter categories. 2020 also saw Robert dipping his boots into a bit of a different sound and working with national names such as Chris Perez, Matt Noveskey and John Gomez! However he’s back to us in 2021 with the same country style that we all know and love….just releasing his brand new single “Come Home To You” yesterday, Robert is looking to hit 2021 full force! All of this doesn’t even start to mention his streaming numbers or his performances. “Come Home To You” will be released on all digital outlets New Years Day BUT radio has it now.

Season Ammons: Numerous singles released this year along with a killer album (I mean come on you need to listen to “Steel Hearts”). Two songs landed in the Top 200 of the year on the T3R chart, one song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the TCMC chart, and one song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the CDX Traction Texas chart. Season was also nominated for numerous radio awards and she advanced to the Semi-Finals in the 2021 TRRMA in the Female Vocalist and New Female Vocalist categories. 2020 also saw Season doing incredible things such as traveling to Abbey Road Studios and recording there, performing a live show inside caverns, releasing a Christmas song, releasing a song to help hunger while working with Feed Texas! and so much more! 2021 is already packed full of items on Season’s to do list and no doubt she will master them all. Her latest single is “Damn Good Man” and it rolls into 2021 at #31 T3R, #50 CDXT, #35 TIRC and #48 TCMC.

Melissa Brooke: 2020 found Melissa working in the studio and making a move to the San Antonio area. While her “day job” of being a veterinarian assistant keeps her hopping she has also recorded the final tracks to a killer album that will be released soon and is rebuilding her full band to get back on the road and on the stages. She spent any “free time” she had building industry relationships and doing as many live stream performances as she could. Her latest single is “Let Me Breathe” and it rolls into 2021 at #38 T3R, #46 CDXT, #114 CDX PC, #66 CDX Americana, #14 TIRC and #40 TCMC.

Abe Mac Band: If you caught up with AMB towards the end of the year you know they did Christmas up right! A fantastic Christmas Special was done by them along with a Christmas children’s book published, a Christmas song (or two) and they even went caroling! Nobody had the Christmas spirit like these fellas did. They released numerous videos while working on new recordings, a new album, live stream events and they put out a killer song to radio. One song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the T3R chart and one song landed in the Top 200 of the TCMC chart. They also were nominated for several radio awards and the end of 2020 saw them advancing to the Semi-Finals of the 2021 TRRMA’s in the New Duo/Group/Band category. Rolling into 2021 their latest single “Square One” will start the year at #42 T3R, #9 TIRC and #47 TCMC.

Jenni Dale Lord: Where to even start with the year this lady has had. Two songs landed in the Top 200 of the year on the T3R chart, one song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the TCMC chart, and one song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the CDX Traction Texas chart. Jenni was also nominated for numerous radio awards, was chosen to perform in the TRRMA Future Faces Show (ya know before that got cancelled) and she advanced to the Semi-Finals in the 2021 TRRMA in the New Female Vocalist category. 2020 also saw Jenni in the studio numerous times, giving us not only a phenomenal album but working on a new one as we speak. She doubled up on South Padre trips, did more live stream performances than anyone I can think of, was honored to be included on a number of compilations/ performances/ fundraisers, etc. in the Lubbock area AND started work on a cook book that has us all drooling. Yet, I have often said that JDL has one of the most loyal fan bases I have ever witnessed, they travel all over the dang place to see her perform, and while this year brought the deep sadness of the loss of one of her most loyal fans and dearest friends, JDL did what she does best and also hit the studio to record a song in honor of that friend. I love this lady’s heart so much. Her latest single is “He Loves Me More” (awesome video to go with this song) and it rolls into 2021 at #51 T3R, #70 CDXT, #29 TIRC and #55 TCMC.

Brendyn Kyle: 2020 found Brendyn breaking down doors to be heard. He signed with SM1 Entertainment for his management team and they jumped in lock, stock and barrel. He has been spending numerous hours in the recording studio and has a treasure chest of music just about ready to be released to all. In 2020 he did release his debut radio single and amidst all the downfalls of the rona (very limited touring and radio interviews) he still managed to move into the Top 50 with that single and is still going strong with it. That single also landed in the Top 200 songs of 2020 on both the T3R and TCMC charts. Brendyn also donated his time and talents over the holiday season to help raise funds and toys in the Mineola area, helping to bring smiles to many a face. His single is “Texas Weather” (which has a killer video for it!) and it rolls into 2021 at #53 T3R, #68 CDXT, #11 TIRC and #42 TCMC.

Jamie Talbert Music: 2020 brought the rebranding of Jamie Talbert, physically, mentally and musically. Many years of unsure comments about his bands name (it comes from a Charlie Daniels song folks) found Jamie spending more time explaining the name rather than highlighting his music. In 2020 that changed, Jamie has rebranded all the way around and has the industry totally focused on his music now. Releasing two singles in 2020 brought Jamie into the ears of many a fan. One song landed in the Top 200 of the year on the T3R chart, the Top 200 of the year on the TCMC chart, and in the Top 200 of the year on the CDX Traction Texas chart. However it is his latest single that has put Jamie’s name and music in front of over 3 million people as he was featured by NRA Country just this past week! Rolling into 2021 that single “Stand And Fight” will start the year at #68 T3R, #119 CDXT, #1197 CDX Americana, #84 TIRC and #75 TCMC.

Jacob Armitage: 2020 brought the name of Jacob Armitage into a lot of folks vocabulary that had never heard of him before….me included. Wow…what a great surprise this was! Jacob’s music is a sound that needs to be heard and he has been working overtime to make sure that happens. Spending tons of time in the studio and even more time on every stage that will have him, Jacob is doing his part to spread the great music to all ears. Releasing his debut radio single in 2020 was just the beginning and we are ready to bust him out even further next year. Rolling into 2021 that single “Once Upon A Time” will start the year at #78 T3R, #80 CDXT, #95 TIRC and #82 TCMC.

Skip Pullig: Sitting at my desk one day I get an email inquiring about promotions and several songs to listen to from the same artist. I listened to them and emailed the artist back asking “who are the different singers on the songs?”. Go figure….they were all him on lead vocals. Skip Pullig is diverse folks…and the man knows traditional classic country music. The single we have out ain’t his first rodeo, but it’s his first one with me in the corral with him, and it hasn’t been too shabby. Skip is a stand up feller and he believes that there is still a place in the music world for classic country, and I agree with him….some things never go out of style. He’s put in a few miles in his years traveling from town to town so that his music can be heard. He sings about it in his latest single. Rolling into 2021 that single “Out On The Road” will start the year at #89 T3R, #92 CDXT, #61 TIRC and #80 TCMC.

Jordan Robert Kirk: What a year 2020 has been for JRK! Not only did he release two singles to radio, but he flat owned his heritage, his sound and every stage that he was able to perform on. He’s also the only guy that was brave enough to cover a White Stripes song (it rocked in my opinion!!!). That cover landed in the Top 200 Songs of 2020 on both the T3R chart and the TCMC chart. Recording stays at the forefront of Jordan Robert’s energy but something a whole lot more important takes center stage with him, and that’s his family. 2020 brought the birth of his son to add to the Kirk clan, and can we just say his wife is a dang warrior in her own right!!!! Farming is a Kirk family bloodline, and JRK spends a ton of time on a tractor and so forth, but it’s there that many a song comes to his mind. You’d be hard pressed to find a better man that Jordan, he’s an all around good guy making it in this world his way. Watch out for his new album and y’all grab some of your western roots and join him for the ride. Rolling into 2021 his latest single (released shortly before the charts froze for the year) “Takes You Home” will start the year at #107 T3R, #86 CDXT, #80 TIRC and #91 TCMC.

2020 also saw me working with some other very talented artists….whether it was their debut single or just one in a long line, I was proud to be a small part of the singles they released then. Y’all keep watching all these artists, working with me or not, because their talent surely deserves your time, attention and ears! Bryan Adam Joyner, Brody Caster Music, Cody Hibbard, Kyle Killgore Band, Mike Donnell, Lucas Jagneaux Music, Tyler Dozier Music

Had to mess with this dude a little…he is probably thinking “damn Dillon just wrapped up all of 2020 and didn’t even mention me”. hahaha I do like messing with his mind. Yeah, wrapping up 2020 would not be complete though without mentioning Jake Bush of course! Jake only released one radio single with me in 2020…but seems as if that was THE one to do. Making the Top 200 Songs of 2020 on the T3R chart, the CDXT chart, the CDX TI chart and the TCMC chart, it sure seems like “Gravity & You” was the song that was destined to make Jake a name that you recognize all over. Oh that song happened to land him his first ever Number 1 also! Jake stepped back and gathered a strong team around him, making note of what is most important in his life, he found a good woman, a great band, he found sobriety, he found a good manager, he found humbleness and he rekindled his faith in God…..that’s all a great mix for success folks, and it worked. Performing on new stages, hitting record streaming numbers, building partnerships….that was just part of Jake’s 2020. No doubt that 2021 will find Jake swinging hard at his next challenge, but I have no fear that he will face it with all he has. Let’s see what the new year brings…..
